Recent Work: Colorful + Graphic Icons

My friend and talented filmmaker, Brandon Goodwin, asked for my help with some title screens he was putting together for Canon video interviews with Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess on photography tips. I came up with the above icons that were used in the title screen graphics of the two videos.

For my personal work, I usually stick with a more subdued color palette. However, since Elsie and Emma's blog is so colorful and fun, it only seemed fitting to mix the signature Canon red with a vibrant color palette. The icons represent tips for photographing in the home and with food. They are tips on using natural light, paying attention to focus, accessorizing and adding personality. It was a very fun project to collaborate on. It's also made me realize I have a growing fondness for designing icons.
